 | Free Match | This symbol is displayed if the pattern is not intended to be matched longitudinally at adjacent lengths |

 | Straight Match | This symbol is displayed if the pattern is to be matched on adjacent lengths without any longitudinal displacement. The length of the repeat is also expressed as a number, e.g. 64cm. |

 | Offset Match | This symbol is displayed if there is longitudinal displacement in order to give the correct match on adjacent lengths. The amount of displacement is also expressed as a number, e.g. 64/32cm where 64cm is the pattern repeat: 32cm is the amount of the displacement. |

 | Reverse Alternate Lengths | Method of hanging a wallcovering whereby adjacent lengths are reversed |
